Solid gold and silver jewellery, bespoke; handmade, no lost wax casting.
Artisan Profile

Most of my jewellery is bespoke, custom made, one piece at a time, to meet the specific requirements of my clients. As a professional industrial designer, I am always concerned with the design, expectations and satisfaction of the person who will wear my jewels or use the objects that I create.

I have been making jewellery from precious metals for over 15 years.  Much of my jewellery is made from fine silver or 22k gold, although occasionally platinum or palladium is used. All my work is handmade from solid metal; I do not use hollow-cast techniques or mass-production molds.

Most people take the word “luxury” to mean expensive. In my mind a “luxury product” comprises: good design, an artisan’s skills, good materials, the time required to make the item properly and, last but not least, repair-ability.

Today, most jewellery is designed on a computer by a person who never fabricated a piece of jewellery and then the design is emailed to a 3D printing machine to print out the investment wax model to be cast. To me jewellery is made for the customer with care, by hand, and with many original and unique qualities that will ensure it’s enduring beauty for many years to come.

I relate strongly to the notions of the “slow movement” especially as it relates to slow design, hand finishes and slow jewellery fabrication. I look to classic Scandinavian and modern design for inspiration and I design with sophisticated simple lines in solid precious metals.
