The Danes are known for their design innovation and their new Waste-To-Energy Plant that serves more than one purpose, is no exception. Amager Bakke / Copenhill is a waste-to-energy plant being built by Amager Ressourcecenter (ARC), and owned by five Danish municipalities. It is being built with a landscaped roof/slope that will be used for hiking and skiing. The architecture is so innovative that it will make a waste-to-energy plant welcome in residential neighborhoods. It is due to be completed in 2017 and it will be one of the best performing plants in Europe.
